Recorded and mixed in fellow guitarist and band member Mike Poupko's Our Music Studio, Elegant Touch keeps Pino's intimate lyrics and recognizable vocals in the forefront. Both a wiz at the soundboard and the fretboard, Poupko's intuitive ear and jazz-infused rock riffs are the backbone of the band's sound. As the emotion and visual imagery of Elegant Touch builds, so does the thudding plucked tones of bassist John Cwiok and the melodic drum beats of Johnathan Schiller, until the vocals and music are neck and neck for the listener’s attention. And then, just as simply as it began, the outro returns to its acoustic subtlety, as if to say this journey of yearning continues.
